SoundCloud track downloader
One song, one click. The file arrives named Artist - Title, with the cover art and metadata already written in.
Paste a public track or playlist link. Only download audio you hold the rights to — see our terms.
- Works without the artist enabling downloads
- 500×500 cover art
- No account
What you get
A file you can drop straight into a music library.
- Correct filename
- Artist - Title, with characters your filesystem can't handle replaced rather than dropped. Non-Latin titles keep their script instead of being transliterated into nonsense.
- Embedded metadata
- Title, artist and genre written as ID3 frames in an MP3, or as iTunes atoms in an M4A. Both are what music players actually read — not a sidecar file you'd have to keep next to the audio.
- Full-size cover art
- SoundCloud serves a 100×100 thumbnail by default. We fetch the 500×500 version and embed that, so the artwork still looks right on a phone screen.
- The original audio
- Byte-for-byte what SoundCloud streams. No transcoding step means no second generation of lossy compression.
Before you download something that isn’t yours
If the artist hasn’t enabled downloads, we’ll say so before you click — and then let you decide, because there are legitimate reasons to save a track that isn’t marked downloadable, and illegitimate ones. Which this is depends on whether you hold the rights, not on whether the button works.

Questions
Which tracks can I download?
Any public track, whether or not the artist ticked the download box — though if they didn't, you are the one taking responsibility for that. Private tracks shared by secret link work if you paste the full link including the token. Go+ exclusives cannot be downloaded by anything.
SoundCloud streams in chunks now — does that still work?
Yes. SoundCloud has retired its single-file streams, so almost every track arrives as dozens of small segments plus a manifest. Our server reassembles those into one file before it reaches you, so it stays a single download. You'll see a moving bar rather than a percentage, because the finished size isn't known until the last segment lands.
Can I download a private or unlisted track?
If you have the secret link, yes — paste the whole thing, including the token after the track name. Without that token the track isn't resolvable, which is the point of it being private.
Does the download count as a play?
No. We read the track's stream directly, which doesn't register as a play or a download in the artist's stats. If you want to support them, play the track on SoundCloud properly.
Is there a length limit?
No limit on duration, but very large files are refused rather than crashing your tab — the audio has to be held in memory while the tags are written. Normal tracks and DJ sets are fine; a multi-hour upload may not be.
